MONTGOMERY, Ala., September 8, 2006—Destin Energy has engaged the public affairs firm Wren & Associates to work on Destin Energy's behalf in Washington DC, lobbying executive branch agencies to increase renewable fuels usage at the federal level.  Wren & Associates will seek federal regulatory changes that provide incentives for renewable fuel use, and also promote Destin Energy's ability to deliver renewable fuel solutions for institutions and businesses.

Based in Montgomery, Wren & Associates provides strategic planning and consulting for corporations, business and trade associations, non-profit organizations, education institutions and pro-business advocacy groups. Wren & Associates specializes in federal lobbying activities, media relations, and market research, and also provides full-service political campaign management.

Wren & Associates is led by Greg Wren, an expert in Alabama and federal government affairs and business relations. Currently an Alabama State Representative, Wren has served as Chairman of the Montgomery Legislative Delegation, and Chairman of the Tax and Fiscal Policy subcommittee for the American Legislative Exchange Council.
